One of our favourite stalls is Seven Brothers. The prices are often the best in the market for many things, and variety and quality are usually good. They are also quite entertaining... listen out for the spruiking. :)

There are also a couple of organic produce stalls for those who prefer food grown organically.
The variety of fruits and veggies in the market changes with seasonal variations, and from stall to stall, but some of the things you will find at some time during the year includes apples, oranges, mandarins, lemons, peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries, mangos, guavas, watermelon, rockmelon, honey dew melon, kiwi fruits, pineapples, strawberries, kale, variety of lettuces, celery, broccoli, cabbage, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, cucumbers, capsicums, mushrooms and lots more!

Prices for similar items can vary quite widely, so it pays to have a browse through before making too many purchases. While sometimes quality affects price, you can also find equal quality produce for various prices throughout the market. After a few visits to the market you start to get a feel for where you are likely to find the best deals for different items, but it can still pay to have a bit of a look around first.
A selection of Market Traders invite you to free tastings every Thursday, Friday & Saturday, so you can try before you buy.
There's also cooking demonstrations, classes, tours and face painting.
Surrounding the market are arcades containing a wide variety of shops, including a Coles supermarket. There is also the nearby Asian markets next to it, and Mariana Market (produce) across the road.
The Adelaide Central Market is located not far off Victoria Square, on Grote Street. It's a few minutes walk from Rundle Mall, accessible by various buses and also the Glenelg tram.
So, why not come and visit the Adelaide Central Market firsthand. It's a great day out for the whole family and you will probably come back again and again! It's an experience, not just a shopping trip!
